New to me 2011 F250 6.7

I bought a 2011 F250 crew cab short bed FX4 last week with 165k on it, the mileage was a little high but I got a great price on it and the truck is solid. It's deleted with an H&S tow/haul tune and straight pipe into the factory tailpipe/resonator.

I bought the truck for $20k because it would stall pulling up to stop lights sometimes, called a friend who has a reputable diesel shop before hand and checked everything he told me to look for and bought it.

We pulled a code for the fuel pressure regulator and Map sensor. I cleaned the sooted up map sensor and put some Schafer fuel cleaner in it along with changing all the filters with motorcraft and rotella oil. Runs great and no more issues.

Pulling a 28 foot gooseneck with a jeep (11,000lbs) I get 16mpg out of it, highway I saw 19 and mixed it's getting 15.

I love the power and have been pleased with the truck and I figure it would've already showed up if major problems existed at this mileage.

What do I need to look for or do now to help make this truck last? The delete is done but they left the egr in place, do I need to remove it also?

Thanks in advance for any help.

regular maint. and remember water in the fuel is the enemy.

Good fuel source and draining the separator monthly should do it.

I've bought all my fuel from the same place in town that I know has good fuel, I always used them with my old 7.3.

Good to know on the separator, I'll be sure to drain it frequently. This is my dedicated tow rig for hauling my jeep and will sit most of the time during the week. My last truck this replaced saw less than 8k miles a year.

Also when it idles it will sound like the 7.3's did when the ebpv closed and whistle loudly for a few seconds out the exhuast. I'm assuming this is normal?

If the EGR is in place, it might be wise to at least block off the air side. If it has been deleted for a while, it may already be clogged up and not worth even touching.
