F350 coolant question

Well I'm new to the :oval family and diesels in general. Long story short just got a f350 King ranch it has a new motor (now w/40k) new mishimoto radiator in the last month before I got it fully deleted runs a tuner.
Well 3 days after I bought it the alternator took a crap at a stop light right before I got onto the highway lost power on most electronics on the hwy then died shortly after I exited. After I popped the hood noticed a decent amount of coolant had sprayed everywhere seemed to have come out of the top as it was the wettest area.
After the repair topped off the coolant and drove the truck 11hrs back home with no other issues. Since then I'm not 100% sure but I think some is still coming out of the lid or bottle maybe not much but dry white stuff around the lid area side of th bottle etc.

Any ideas? Also how full is the bottle supposed to be is see the line on the bottle but the bottle isn't clear enough to see the coolant.

Yes that is the updated degas bottle so that line is your fill line.

Have you replaced the degas cap? That's always the first place to start as they are very common to cause puking.

Other than that, are the egr coolers in place or deleted? If so then its time to plumb a gauge into the cooling system and check for excessive pressure.

Does it have enough coolant? Haven't tried cap yet this the right one 03 10 Ford 6 0 6 0L Powerstroke Diesel Coolant Degas Bottle Reservior Cap | eBay ?

The prev owner said the radiator was done last month and it might have air pockets causing it does that sound right?

try once you start your engine to open the bottle cap this will let any air that trapped out you might have to this for a couple of months but it will clear up the problem also always wash off any of the coolant this might cause you problem down the line.

So after the motor is started open the lid let out the air?

yes and squeeze the rad hoses to "burp" the system.

Make sure coolant is up around the "cold fill" mark, go for a drive to get her nice and warm. Then squeeze the rad hoses. Making sure its completely up to temp makes sure the tstats open allowing coolant to circulate and air to escape.

That is correct,When you pop the hood open the upper hose is flatten which means that there's air in the systems so opening the coolant reservoir bottle will allow it to breathe. you might have to do it for quite some time until there's NO air and the upper hose looks normal. Also make sure that the reservoir bottle is filled to "med" or at the line as indicated.

Would it be easier to take it to the dealer and have them flush it and fill? Heard they use a special tool or something that prevents air from getting in
