Rear Wiindow Slider Sealant
OK, folks, I am about to replace my Ford, (Carlite), Rear Sliding Window in my 2003 F150 Regular Cab. The previous unit was damaged and leaking. I need to know what is the recommended Foam Core Butyl Sealant to obtain. Near as I can determine, the Darcy 8mm round butyl tape will fit just fine. Looks like I'll need just over 12 feet but it only comes in 10 foot rolls. However, Amazon has it listed and not very expensive, about 6 bucks per roll.
Most vehicles today use the urethane, however, this body flexes enough that Ford recommends the butyl. Does anyone have a recommendation on another brand of products to use; 3m, etc.? Thanks for the feedback. Rooster |
