Sticky dashboard?

The top of dashboard plastic is getting sticky in my truck. It started with the pop up center section but today I notice pretty much the whole top of the dash is sticky. Like plastic gone bad. None of other plastic affected so far. The truck is new, but built in early 2015. Black interior so it gets hot. Is this a known problem?

It has not had any snake oils spread on it.

Same with mine in 2013. I cleaned it with soapy water and some elbow grease and has been fine since

I had a 2006 that did that. I used an Armorall leather wipe on it and it took the sticky away and shined it up nice too.

It's the plasticizer's baking out. Just us some soap/water damp cloth or Armorall plastic cleaner to remove it. By cleaning your dashboard it will prevent that foggy haze build up on the interior of your windshield.

Not a fan of Armorall products, but I will try cleaning it with something. One of the reasons I didn't really want a black interior.

I got that same sticky residue on my '15 dash. Try the Lexol vinyl cleaner. I really like it.

It's a good thing maybe.
