New pads and rotors... Before I drop the cash double check my items
Getting the complete set that David suggested, ignore this post ;)

for less than $100 more, you can get new calipers as well... Here is the kit I bought: 2003 FORD EXCURSION Power Stop 1-Click Z36 Extreme Truck and Tow Brake Kits with Calipers KC1906A-36 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing
Also, Summit has a military discount option that I was able to get through using the chat with a rep function. I am not sure if it is for veterans as well as active duty, but might be worth a try. :D |
I have no input on whether or not those are correct parts but my offer still stands for you guys coming up and us doing the work.
|
I just put the complete Power Stop kit on my 2000. Glad I did, calipers were original and 2 calipers had had pistons frozen up... The kit also came with the caliper brackets, eliminating the pin issues I had from a 15 year old truck as well.
You will have cores to return. No real opinions yet if the Power Stop kit is better than anything else but for the money I was in.... If your calipers are original, something to consider... |
Not to be Capt. Obvious, but be sure to get the left side rotors too...:-X19 :-X18

If you dont need calipers and the Power Stop sounds like it would work for you, this is the kit:. A year later and I am still completely satisfied with mine.

the deals above are pretty good. I pieced my calipers/rotors/pads and Russell SS lines from Amazon/Autozone/eBay. Came out to be a good bit cheaper than the powerstop kit WITH the stainless steel lines included in the purchase. But you have to shop around and piece stuff together. To be honest since you already have stainless lines in the works from one of your other threads, I would just grab that Powerstop kit and be done with it.

I don't have any input on the parts either, but if he comes to your place to do the work and I'm off I'd like to make the run out there just to make fun of Apoc while he works. }> }> }> }> :-X04 |

Ok, so I talked to Wendy and the Powerstop kit seems to be the best option (THANKS DAVID!!!). As soon as you get the time Twitch I'll get everything ordered and we can set up a time to get together and then hang out for a few days :) It's to bad we don't live in FL. or we could all meet up at Michaels house and do it in his driveway. I'm sure his HOA would be fine with 3 Excursions parked up in the grass and one up on jack stands for a weekend :D It would look like Razzis driveway!

Is that the price PER rotor or for a pair?
