2010 F250 daytime running lights
Hey everyone
I have a 2010 F250 Harley Davidson truck. I really want to get my daytime running lights to turn off. I went to the dealer and they disabled the DRL's but they still stay on went the truck is running. The headlight switch is functioning correctly and so is the rest of the system. If y'all have an idea to why they are still on I would be great full for the advice. |
I'm curious what the dealer did to supposedly disable the DRL's? Apparently it didn't work (hope you didn't have to pay them for that). I had that issue with a Tundra awhile back but the dealer wouldn't do it. I got a hold of a schematic and found a junction connector under the driver's side fenderwell. Unplugged it and taped it off, problem solved. Maybe Ford is similar.

On the older ford obs trucks, when you put the e-brake on the daytime runners turned off. On those trucks there was a switch on the park brake. You put a ground wire form the switch to somewhere handy and the lights stayed off. Not sure if the newer duties can be manipulated the same way??

I know this is an older post, but you can do this now if you download FORScan, buy an ODBII adapter and change (enable/disable) this yourself...It's actually an option in the IP Module (not the IP Module 'As Built' module)...I just enabled the DRL on my '08 F250 using this method...Still trying to figure out how to change from 50% Low Beams to Turn Signals or Parking lights...
