Fresh coat of paint before and after shots

Just brought the truck home after getting a fresh coat of paint. Here are the before and after shots.

The ol' girl is getting the **treatment** now!

What's next on the to-do list? I suggest..... a bed-mounted, spare tire bracket.

Nice coat of paint really catches your eye. What's next on your list to do?

The spare tire bracket is definitely on the list. The interior is in need of a face lift. The upholstery, carpet and dash are a bit worse for wear. So I think that I'm going to order an upholstery kit and I think that I would like to replace the carpet with rubber flooring. I will probably also get one of those dash covers to put over the top of the current dash.

:-X22.. It's on my list too!

Here are a few ideas:

Sunk into the bed..... would need drain holes.

Fab up something like a Dentside bracket:

This one is neat if needing the full bed space.... Layed down otherwise I figure.

Concur.. that's the direction I'm leaning. It does mean cutting through and re-routing a bed crossmember...

That truck looks awesome. Paint looks really nice. Love the wheel and tires. Can you tell me what brand those tires are? And I assume they are 235/85/16's

Did you have a shop do the paint work? If you don't mind me asking how much did they charge?

Thanks

I found a guy on Craigslist that offered paint jobs. I called and spoke to him and found out that he used to manage a body shop and is now semi retired. He had some pics of his work that looked decent. He charged me $1600 for the 2 tone paint, bedliner and some minor body work. For reference, Maaco quoted me $2700 for the same work. This guy doesn't do major body work or show quality paint jobs. He primarily does simple exterior paint jobs. He did a good job and so far I'm pleased with the outcome. However, you sort of get what you pay for and I was aware of the quality I was purchasing before I agreed to terms with this guy. At this point I would recommend him for simple paint jobs but if I wanted show quality, I would go to a full service body shop. For $1600 I believe that I got a good value and results that are better than Maaco could deliver.
