What trucks and truck frames was made in 1992?

Kinda a little stumped on a 1992 F Super Duty. People is saying its on a motor home F53 chassis but I don't believe that it has a 460 7.5l in the truck

The straight axle with leaf springs is why everyone thinks its a F53

I've never ordered a stripped chassis, but I would assume there is a VIN on it (not the cab). It would have F53 in it starting with the 5th character if it's like a normal body code vin.

You have a super duty truck that's how they came. Ford didn't start using the F450 name till 1999 before that they were just called F super duty. Nothing out of the order there.

They're all like that.

Same frame from 1980 till 1997 4x4 f250 or f350 frame you have

I was kinda figuring it was pretty much a 450 its been hard finding some parts for it.

What do I need to look up to find brake and suspension parts and axle parts? I know the cab is the same as a f-150 - 350. I'm trying to get my truck to ride better

I think it basically was a 450 but as someone pointed out, they just called them F Super Duty at the time. I had a 1997 with 7.3.
You can create an account and check your VIN here from Ford Fleet: Login or Create an Account | fleet.ford.com

If your looking for parts tell them the year & that you have a F-Super Duty. Some parts people don't know they even built them that way they think super duty is from ANY F250to F550. So you might also have to tell them it's a F450.

Moved to the obs forum. While it is an f super duty, it shares pretty much nothing in common with the current super duty. You will get better help here :-X22

The F-Super Duty 1987-97 (the original super duty prior to '99 pickups) was introduced to bridge the gap from the F350 to medium duty trucks. It was a commercial cab & chassis 2WD dually only optioned truck. They came with 460 gas engines all through the production run, with the optional 7.3l idi diesel engine from introduction through '94,then the optional 7.3l di (power stroke) diesel from '94.5 - '97.
Known at the time as the "One Ton Plus." It sports a HD frame, the hydroboost brake system w/ 4 wheel disc brakes.Though they are 2WD trucks, they are equipped with 4WD transmissions but, rather than a transfer case, they come with a drive line emergency/parking brake. A HD dana 80 rear axle that came from ford with gear ratio options intended for two purposes; heavy hauling & towing. They came in various wheelbase lengths with up to a 15,000 LB GVWR.It's widely known as the F-450 equivalent with many auto stores listing parts under either name.
These trucks are easy to spot with their pickup size cabs, yet unique F-Super Duty fender emblems & 10 lug wheels.
axle code 72 = 4.63
axle code 73 = 5.13
axle code G3 = 4.30LS

For the chassis parts just tell them it is an F53.
For the cab & radiator parts tell them it is a F-(1-4)50.
