Jubilation's January Jackwagon BS Thread

What's yo' damage, framage?

I don't do resolutions. Too much disappointment.

Have made it a year & 12 days without a cig, tho. Sure would bum a puff right now if I had a chance.

Treasure what you have & get busy livin' and quit bitchin bout stuff people say you ought to have your panties in a wad over.

Sound advice in an erection-lection year.

Just sayin'... :D

Howdy Ford folks.

Been a while since I've been on here. Was off during the holidays and I've spent most of it working on my poor ol' lonely and neglected '68 F100. Gonna get her back on the road. I miss it. I've really had fun working on it, but dang,...I'm gonna be sore in the morning. I was a lot younger the last time I crawled all over and under that old truck. I'm fired up about it right now though...let's hope the enthusiasm lasts til she's running again.

Hope you all are well.

Happy New Year!
Mitch

Mitchissippi 01-04-2016 02:11 PM

Didn't dread coming back to work,...but sure didn't want to.

Enjoyed working on the old truck. Hope to be riding soon.

Scndsin 01-11-2016 08:52 AM

Holy frosted nads, Batman! Who left the door open?

Any y'all win anything on the lottery? I could use a loan, donation, whatever to further truck projects. :D

lwarrior1016 01-11-2016 10:57 AM

If I win, we will all be millionaires lol.

RigTrash601 01-12-2016 07:44 PM

Another Monday in late January. Depressing as Hell. Will be glad when I see March in the rear view.

Thomas says we need to have a get together on the coast since there are more of y'all down there than us up here.

Anybody wanna' meet in a parking lot somewhere & stand around doing your best "King of the Hill" impression?

Yep. Unh-huh.

Anybody know how to grab the first image off this link.?

Mitchissippi 01-25-2016 11:50 AM

Well, it's been a cold process, but the '68 F100 is back together. It's not running yet, but getting it all back together was my first big hurtle to jump.

I stuck a battery in it just to see what I have. I've got both head lights, one tail light, no life at all in the instrument panel, light at the heater controls, and a quick thud when I turn on the heater fan that I bet is a dirt dubber nest.

I've got to have my carport space for another project this week, so I pushed the Ford out into the yard. I can probe around with the test light and clean connections out in the yard.

Man, it was cold working on that thing!

Mitch

lwarrior1016 01-25-2016 12:14 PM

Hey David, I would be more than happy to stand around in a parking lot lol.

Side note: I just came back from a family trip to Tennessee. The wife wanted to go see snow so we rented a place in the mountains. We got some snow alright, and I learned how desperately I need her truck to be 4x4 lol. Ill attach a picture in a minute that shows the snow we got. It was a great trip over all. The best part is, her truck rolled over 300K miles on the way. I was nervous but the truck never skipped a beat!

Then I thought if I packed the truck be full that I could bring some home.........nope! When I got home there was enough for 1 small snow ball left.

Good stuff right there!

I think we still have a snowball in the freezer from the snow we got last year.

Mitchissippi 01-26-2016 10:15 AM

HEY! I did some probing around with the test light last night, and ended up getting the '68 to roll over with the key!

Solenoid was loose on the fender. Tightened it up and now the key rolls it over, and I have a hot wire at the distributor.

Scared the piss outta me when it rolled over. I just wanted to see if the test light would come on...swear I can't remember if it did or not???...anyway, it works!

Got a few things I want to double check before I actually try to crank it, but another big hurtle jumped.

stay tuned...
Mitch

Tell you what man, that dang ol'internet man...just click click click...real easy man

Mitchissippi 01-26-2016 09:00 PM

I rolled the '68 over long enough to get gas to the carb. I know that cause gas started leaking out the little hole in the accelerator pump diaphragm cover.

I'll pick up a kit tomorrow.

Scndsin 01-29-2016 09:02 AM

We get a "spring break" weekend before returning to our regularly scheduled nasty-assed winter scheduled programming.

Enjoy while you can.

I hate February. :-arrgh

RigTrash601 01-29-2016 02:06 PM

Go figure, I flew back offshore yesterday.....:-roll

But, given the price of oil, just thankful I've still got a job.:-hair
Y'all enjoy your weekend, stay safe.

Scndsin 01-29-2016 06:56 PM

Heck fire man, its should be fairly nice. I know y'all had a front blow through, guess the day before you went out. Screwed with Florida. good bit. Stay safe,

RigTrash601 01-30-2016 03:54 PM

It's beautiful weather out in the Mexican gulf, just not my preferred location, at the moment:D!

IB Tim 01-31-2016 10:14 AM

Hello Mississippi...have a wonderful day.

Mitchissippi 01-31-2016 08:57 PM

Da '68 is moving under its own power again. Been 15 years.

Still got a lot of bugs to work out, but it runs!

Mitch
