Script stake beds
Just wondering if any of you have a script flatbed that says "Ford Truck" and not just Ford? I cut that section from a very dilapidated 38-39 1/2 ton that was headed to the crusher. IIRC, it had a stake pocket between Ford and Truck. I know I cut some out and narrowed it up. I had a friend letter the embossed part and he added the border, it's just paint.

I thought the "ford truck" script was only on the model TT truck, i had heard that when the AA came around the word truck was droped, i had a "ford truck" bed got it in 2000 and sold it in 2005,

It was pretty small, not over 8 feet long, maybe only 7.

yeah they were a small bed. when i bought my 35 ford truck i bought it also from the same guy, my plan was to alter it and put it on my 35. a good friend of mine needed a TT bed for his project, he knew i had it so off it went to a new home, gone but not forgotten. so now the plan is to make just a plain ol wooden bed,

actually it was 2006 i sold it.https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...1920265314.jpg

Cool. So now I know. I was going to graft it into the tailgate of my 29 but the metal is so much thicker than the 29 tailgate that I didn't think I could make it look right.

Dang, I wish I hadn't looked for these pictures. :-down I kinda miss this old girl. I recently lost it in the' great jailbar swap' of 2015......Only drove it once and it needed everything, but man did it have character. Looks like it WAS a TT bed. You can see the script 'ford truck' .

I like the Ford Truck script bed. Thanks for the history lesson.
|
Actually G.B for the model AA it still looks good if it has the single rear wheel.
|
I thought it looked awesome on it. I've had 2 other AAs before that one and they also had script beds, but the correct one. The bed was my favorite thing about the pictured truck.

heres another old ford bed i sold about 2006, actually i sold the whole set up here. it wasent script ford but it was on a 1930 ford AA truck, did ford make some beds that didnt have ford on them ? sold this to a model a collector.https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...8dbab9fd8b.jpg
had the spare tire holder on it https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...60ae7bd4c3.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...e1c6a35459.jpg you know its crazy how i have to do these pics, i have around 167 albums on my kodak pictures but when i go to upload a pic only about 18 of them are there to chose from? so i find myself getting into that album and snaping a pic then uploading to a file that comes up, what a pain in the petuti, i know theres got to be a better way to do this. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...cc9222f404.jpg the side boards were still at the farm where i got this frame from, this was converted to a cotton trailer in the early 50's i still have the AA pink slip on this frame the guy that bought it didnt want it. it was a 1930 https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...f1057a4b0d.jpg it looks ford but no script, |

I looked again, see it's a cooker, not a tar pot, my bad. |

I love those pictures with the tar pot(?) smoking. Those single wheel AAs with full running boards are just plain cool.
