Edelbrock 28385 on 2002 f150?

Does anyone know how to make the Edelbrock 28385 work on a 2002 f150? 2wd 4.6l extended cab, auto. Truck is cammed, has minor head work and valve job, headers, built trans, 2800 stall, and 4.10 LS. What parts would I need, what would need to be custom fabbed, etc...The triton intake manifold is garbage. I already understand that I'm going to lose a lot of bottom end but this is a toy and is not daily driven. I'm also looking for a good dyno tuner in OKC if anyone knows of one. If you know any good shops in that area that would install and fab parts that would be great too.

To ask in their EFI forum...

The intake you spec is for Carburetor use.
That means a whole bunch of changes need to be made.
1. No fuel injection. Fuel system has to be rebuilt for low pressure Carb feed.
2. No Mass Air system.
3. Throttle cable adaptation.
4. May or may not need a front mounted Distributor for ignition.
5. Some way to control ignition advance because in a stock FI it is all calculated by the computer.
6. No Ox sensors.
Just some of the many issues you will have to address while trying to keep the PCM for controlling the automatic transmission or go with a stand alone Trans controller.
It will take a lot of computer program mods.
Your dash will not work at all and no Pats SYSTEM.
I hope you took a look at all this before you began the project.
It's going to cost a bundle from the complications it presents to be solved for.
If it were me I would adapt a Mustang intake system and keep fuel injection.
It will be much cheaper and less hassle in the end.
Good luck..

What did their EFI forum have to say?

OP should read the rest of the site where he found the manifold:

These Edelbrock Victor Jr. EFI intake manifolds make it simple to convert competition engines to electronic fuel injection. They have injector bosses precisely positioned and machined for excellent fuel spray patterns and maximum power. These manifolds require a universal 4-barrel throttle body, fuel rail set, fuel injectors, fuel pump, and regulator, which are each sold separately.

In other words, it is a complete conversion that will use little if any of your existing EFI system.

No reply from the forums yet. I talked to a parts store and they said I would need and new throttle body, mmr makes an adapter plate, and fuel rails. The problem is the IAC. It's built into the plenum on stock set up.

Do you know of a forum where someone has switched over to a mustang intake on an f150 and what it took if so? The more reading I do it seems like that will be my best bet. I just need something that will give me air to somewhere around 6500 rpms as the powerband on the cam is around 2500-6500 according to hitech.

I already have an aftermarket fuel pump and 24# injectors.

I think the pi intakes have a recommended operating range of up to 6000 rpms. What do you think of this?
