cleaning the bench seat

i want to clean the cloth bench seat on my 1994 regular cab.

i have had success doing this on OTHER makes by removing the seat, then removing the cloth cover and giving it a good wash in the bathtub. it is a bit tedious to deal with all those hog-clips but other than that it has worked well.

anyone ever done this on one of these trucks ? any reason not to ? i just don't want to get a half-hour into it and then realize that some wacky design makes this overly difficult.

I go to the local grocery store here and rent a "Rug Doctor". It comes with an upholstery attachment and works FANTASTIC! Made 20 year old farm truck seats look like showroom new. And they smell good, too!

I'm with him^^^

I have my own portable shampooer so that is how I go about it.

The only time I remove covers if there is some sort of stank in the foam that needs to be addressed
