How many miles on your 6.4 and what issues had?
Title says it all. Start your posting:-jammin
I'm over 95K now. Some brake issues, blower door motor replacement on HVAC, idler pulley replaced due to noise. Runs great overall and still very happy. |
106,000 Miles, oil dilution (not any more) Still has original brakes>>I do think the idler pulley is going to be changed shortly, and my cruise is working when it wants to so I guess it's time for a brake switch, no complaints.

2009 F-250 4WD with 88,000 miles. Replaced bad idler and belt, otherwise just routine oil, fuel, and coolant maintenance.

101k on my 09 250. Replaced track bar (due to death wobble), upper radiator hose, batteries, belt tensioner, brake pads, a vacuum hose and the normal lube service.

130,000 on mine, 122,000 when I bought it a year ago.
Alternator failed one month after I purchased. Radiator leaked two months after purchase. When I changed it out I went a head and put in new thermostat, hoses and coolant. This summer I had a vibration in my drive line so I replaced my carrier bearing and U-joints. I removed DPF and EGR before I had any issues. Been a great pickup and fun to drive. I love everything about it! JEff |
2008 F350 with 110498 miles on it. (95,000 when I bought it). Only problem Ive had was the brake pressure sensor on the master cylinder which caused the cruise control to stop working.

2008 with 210,000
Radiator, hoses, thermostats, u-joints and center support bearing on rear drive shaft. Alternator and that's it. |
2010 44,xxx miles and running great!! Only issue was a stuck dipstick tube when I broke the handle off the dipstick. I have had the truck since new

2008 Job 1 with 88,000 miles, bought new. Only issue I have had is EGT sensor went bad which made it stick in regen mode. All I do is change the oil religiously every 5,000 miles and fuel filters once a year. I just added 2nd set of batteries last week. Still on original brakes.

2008 6.4 with 246,500 miles. DPF delete at 100,000 made this a completely different truck. Oil change every 5K. Main problem has been 4 radiators replaced, but the aftermarket replacement has a lifetime warranty so all I pay for is the labor to install. Some new 4 x4 hubs and front wheel bearings here and there but I love the truck! It is all about how you drive and maintain them. DELETE THE DPF and you will have a good truck :-X22

2008 Job 1 with 116573 miles. I had two radiators, alternator, right /left tie rods, outer tie rod ends, ball joints, both rear rotors wheel speed sensor, and radio all replaced under warranty. Other than those inconveniences the truck has run great.

Had a job 1 bought with around 70K and traded just before 130K after almost 5 years. From memory:
The small turbo went out shortly after purchase Both belt tensioners failed at different times, I think idlers were also replaced with at least one of them Radiator hoses sprung leaks so were updated to 2 O ring style There was another leak around the EGR LPFP failed around 120K (never had a drop of water come out of it during draining) Thermostats were showing signs of hyperextending shortly before trade in (throwing corresponding codes) Front ball joints all replaced around 120K Might sound bad but was far better than the 6.0L we had before it. Engine grew a lot of oil from 70K-100K before I deleted it. 100K miles of diluted oil had me worried enough to trade it in, truck cost less than $13K in depreciation so was well worth it. |
2008 Short Box Crew Cab 4x4, 89,000+ miles, 4" Lift. Other than a cruse control, I've been blessed. Mine only wants Batteries, Brakes, Oil and Diesel (10.5+/- MPG in town, 14 HWY). The only issue I've had lately is the DPF doing its simple regeneration two to three times a week in town. It does a major regen every 150+ miles.
I would like to do a DPF Delete, but Clark County Nevada says no. |
