does anybody sell new crossmembers?
 

Hey guys,

I just bought a 2000 f350 4x4 dually with a v10 . It has an aluminum flatbed on it now and is a regular cab but I dont know for sure if its a cab and chassis model. I was checking it over for inspection and noticed the cross member right behind the cab that runs over the muffler is pretty rusty. The rest of the truck and frame are pretty good but the crossmember and the drivers side cab corner which i already installed. Does anyone know if I can just buy a new crossmember and the two side braces for it? I really was hoping to just grind off the rivets and put a new one on, instead of making my own or dealing wih a salvage yard. I havent really found anything besides the trans crossmember.

i would go on the ford parts web page and see if you can find it . I think it is part of the frame and you can not buy it separate. If that is the case then you will have to find one in a junk yard

If you mean the frame cross member, I've had trouble finding one for my 2000 F550. I did get a part number and ordered it and it was more like a cradle that went cab side to cab side and over top just in front of the cross member that both you and I have as rusty. I think I'm just gonna weld some steel in there... but mine is a farm truck so legality isn't job one for me.
