Burnt Valve 460

Hey all. Recently picked up a project truck. 1987 F-250. 4x4, extended cab, manual. Interior is great, body is decent.

However, it's got a burnt valve. So the question is, should another 460 go in it? Will a Windsor be underpowered? It's not going to be used for towing anything to big, maybe a small boat, perhaps a Miata.

It's got 162k on it, so if the heads are coming off, the engine is coming apart.

Find a clean set of junkyard heads, have those rebuilt, and you can swap them out on a weeknight. As long as the P.O. Didn't beat the crap out of it and changed the oil, the bottom end should last you to 300k.
