Well this happened today, but all is good
 

Car transporter finally showed today and as he was loading my truck the ramp slipped out and the truck fell a little. Thank god for lift kit kits, no damage was done. I laughed while the truck driver, who was loading it on the trailer, freaked out. All is good and the truck and the truck is on its way from WA to CT. Now I'm going through truck with-drawls.

It kinda cracks me up when folks go real slow when driving a vehicle through a tight spot. I mean, once it clears and ya know there is room to spare, it's not like the vehicle is gonna swell up and make contact.

One time my dad kinda freaked out when I parked is rig in the car port where it was usually stored. I nosed in, check the clearances, and proceeded to park it in one motion... he was the type to constantly check his mirrors side to side as he inched in..... "Pops, it didn't swell up from the last time you drove it, right?"

I've driven cube vans and 5ton shoe boxes for so long that I cant drive a car, yet when it comes to these trucks, forget it, I'm out driving you. If the mirrors go through the rest goes through, 5 or 50 mph don't matter. The key is to remember how far your mirrors stick out and how big the hole is. These lighter duty commercial vehicles are usually under powered for fuel economy as a result they're a momentum based vehicle when it comes to maintaining speed. Look after your tires, suspension and brakes and when the truck is empty, drive it like a Ferrari. Empty parking lots during rain storms and after snow falls are a blast.

Getting transferred from Bangor, WA to Groton, CT. Didn't sell it. I couldn't. I will pay $1300 to ship my trusty pride and joy rather than sell it here and buy another over there. Besides, mines has a LOT less rust than a New England dent.

And I got it bad. I always wake up in the morning and look out the window to see my truck. This morning my heart sank a little.

Yeah man living in the rust belt blows. I can't even imagine what a "rust free" truck looks like. Mines got quite a bit and I'd say it's still considered minor to some of the trucks around here I see.

HIO and Privateer - think that's called "damage control" - if you do screw the pooch, the consequences of going 5mph tend to be a lot less painful than 30. BTDT.

Don't worry Houston, I'm a sedate driver, just have a firm believe in having confidence in what I'm doing. Theres a lot of people that think I'm to slow at what I do, as a result I've never hit a house, car, flipped or rolled any bobcats or backhoes. Seen lots of stupidity performed by over confidant so called proffesional equipment operators. If I'm not confident in doing something I take my time as its easier than making some fools f up right.

Fair Winds and Following seas Shipmate! I had to get my dent from Whidbey to Oklahoma City and decided to buy a car hauler so I could have the Lone Ranger in my rear view mirror!

If that happened to me.......Arizona is an open carry state.
