Magnaflow 15508 XL DPF back exhaust review
 

I picked up a Magnaflow XL 15508 dual 5" DPF back stainless exhaust for my 2014 F250 and installed it today. Just wanted to post up some pictures and a review of the exhaust.

Installation was very simple, the original DPF-back exhaust system unbolted and came right out. The only tools required were a 15mm socket wrench and some WD40. 6 15mm nuts to separate the factory DPF back system, it comes out in two pieces very easily.

Installing the Magnaflow exhaust was very simple and straightforward. The kit comes with an extended pipe and extra clamp for the long bead trucks. Mine is the standard bed and did not require this section. Bolted the flange to the DPF reusing the factory gasket and the rest of the system is a simple slip-fit design.

Exhaust tone is almost the same as stock which is a little disappointing. It seems to give a slightly deeper rumble just before the RPM's return to idle but doesn't seam any louder while driving. As for power increase I don't find any noticeable difference and fuel economy is about the same after 50 miles.

Overall the system is very well made and looks fantastic. I'm just glad I didn't pay full retail for this system otherwise I may have been disappointed.

Looks good, I haven't seen the stock setup on the new diesels so what from the turbo to the tailpipe section? Just pipe Or are there emissions junk? Also that little muffler shouldn't keep the exhaust quiet unless these new diesels are really that quiet...

It's the dpf in front of that little muffler that's keeping it quiet, when the dpf is removed you can get that regular diesel sound.

Unless the DPF is removed were pretty limited on exhaust options. If I weren't in a state that has rolling emission check points I'd seriously consider removing the DPF.

Magnaflow does a really nice job..

fast forward to 4:42 of the video.........that stuff just looks expensive !!
