Head bolts?
I just got my new head bolts (they are the bolts) they didn't come with washers do the bolts use washers or just the studs?
|
Ok I found a spec of .134" I have washers that measure .1125" can I use them? Or do I need to search for thicker washers?
|
I would find bigger, since the head bolts are designed to stretch as you torque them. Don't want to run the risk of bottoming any out on accident...

My victor reinz bolts (mahle) had it made onto the bolt.

Ok those are the ones I got so no washers? I bottomed them out by hand and the shallowest hole still gave me a half inch with out the washer and I did the math my washers are only 1/32 smaller than spec

Yes the space between head of bolt and block is 4" bottomed out and the head itself is 4 1/2" at the same hole and some of the others the block to bolt head is 2 1/2" with 4" on the head those are the exhaust side the shallow hole is the front one on out side of the valve cover
