Has anyone out there actually weighed tere '57 to '60 F100 to see what the "driving weight" is? I want to but have not located a truck scale yet. The owners manual is pretty vague and general

Have you though of getting on one of those Black Cat scales? I'm no truck driver,s o I don't know the name, but it has a black cat on the sign.

Or, clean some junk out of your house and go to the landfill. They usually weigh you going in and coming out, then you'll know! :-X06

With 3700# in mind, (this is going to sound off the wall) how much does a 1974-1978 Mustang with a V8 weight. I'm knee deep in Mustang II cross member thoughts, as you can see from my Height's discussion. Weight seems to be an argument against the MII. People say there is to much of a weight differance which compromises the integrity of the front end. I say the Mustang weighted at least 3400#

I don't know how your town is. But the way I'm going to weigh mine is to put alot a scrap in the back and head over to the city dump. Free dumping for citizens, and a manditory weight check, in and out.

The most common platforms that the Mustang II clips are used in are the cars of the '30s that usually weigh 2800 lbs. max, and they drop in weight without the flattie. Although you might want to compare the weight on the front wheels than the overall weight.
