Rear cab mount bushings- 4x4
Hey guys, looking to get new cab mount bushings. I'm finding them for the 2wd trucks, but not the 4x4. Anyone have a source for these?
Thanks! |

Ah, the light bulb comes on! I can find the fronts, so I'll just get an extra set of those. Thanks man!!:-X22

So, I had a talk with the product guys at Dennis Carpenter. They make a 2wd kit, but no 4x4. I pointed out that the front bushings are the same on the front as the 2wd, and the rear bushings are the same as the front for the 4x4. I have to call back on Monday, they are going to see if they can put a kit together for me.

It seems that mods and chapter leaders can send P/M's to members that have the feature turned off. I then sent you an email asking you to send me the request back, you never responded. Post #3: inre to C4TZ-8100155-C = This is old info, Antique [Auto] Parts is out of business. Excluding Green Sales, there are 5 new sources. Sorry, Bill. Didn't get the email for some reason. Anyway, I'm looking for the 4x4 mounts, I need the rubber bushing, washers, bolts, nuts and the metal bushings that go up into the rubber mounts. Found them in the CD illustrations, still working out how to find them in the parts listing pdf.

Left: Caption should read: 1964/72 F100/250 2WD & 1966/72 F100 4WD
Right: Body text section 000 begins on page 29, this is where the parts can be found. |
Okay, thanks Bill, let me go check that out.

So, after getting all the part #'s for the mounts, I called Dennis Carpenter. Told them what I was looking for, and since they only offer the kit in 2wd form, I explained about how the front absorbers for the 2wd, are the same for the 4x4. He is going to do some checking, and get back to me tomorrow. Maybe I can convince them to offer this as a kit from now on.
Oh, and I'll talk to them about repopping that panel on the inside of the cab corners, also. |
Just thought I'd update this, Bart at Dennis Carpenter has thrown a set of these bushings, washers, and inserts together for me. He said that they are looking into going ahead and making a kit for these to offer for sale.

Sorry Nuke buddy, I have a set down in Baja, I bought off the internet, about 3 years ago, and have not used. Mine were too good to trash, so put them back on when I did the cab off restoration. If you cannot find some, keep up with me, and I will bring them North, in Sept. when I come. I don't plan on pulling my cab ever again.

Thanks, Baja, I appreciate it!
