Can I put an auto carb in my truck

I have a 65 f100 3 speed manual with a 352 FE and I'm not sure if I can put an automatic carb on it. I'm perty sure that the auto has the bracket for the kick-down but I'm not sure if I can bypass it because my OE manual did not have this.

I have seen them installed like that, where the pin for the kickdown just goes along for the ride. As long as you can hook up the throttle right, it should be fine.

Ezridr65, Welcome to :-X25 and the Slicks Forum. :-wink

While you have a carb fitted with auto linkage, I wasn't aware that the carbs were different.

Yes. The carbs have different part numbers at the parts store and I think that's the only difference is the kickdown lever. I was also wondering about the Holley 2300. Is that just a bolt on or do I have to change stuff around

Bolt it on. I believe that the stock configuration had a steel tube which attached to the linkage. The kickdown linkage on the carb doesn't interfere with anything. Good luck.
