'57 F100 need 1/2" longer wheel lugs

I swung past Advanced Auto on the way in to work this morning to see if they could help me find wheel lugs that are 1/2" longer than the stock lugs. I should have known it was a pointless exercise.

I'm pretty sure standard lugs are 1/2" x 20, but I don't know how long... I just know I need them 1/2" longer to use the wheel spacers.

Does anyone happen to know what I should ask for at Napa?

Hope that helps. :)

Well... I was able to order some from NAPA... at $7 a piece. Wow. After searching Dorman's website, I found one with very similar dimensions to what I needed. Turns out, a 2009 Ford Taurus wheel stud is the same specs, but just a little longer.

Glad that you found something. I have done parts for 23 years. Many times, a longer substitute can be found by dimension, as you have found. Unfortunately, most of the chain stores just look in their computer and give up. It's not all their fault, the printed buyers guides are pretty much a thing of the past and they usually don't have access to the internet in the cooperate stores. Napa's usually have more experienced parts people, although their walk in prices aren't the best.
