A/C clutch

Pre-thinking my Bronco Wiring, and I think I have a good grasp on how I am going to wire in the engine harness to the under-hood harness, and using a few pre-existing wires to run the WTS light and such. However, I am retaining A/C on this build, and I want it to function properly. Did the IDI's cut A/C at WOT like the EFI gassers did? I don't see any way it could feedback unless you have an E4OD truck...

Anybody have a wiring schematic for the A/C clutch?

On these trucks the ac is a completley independed system, the only thing the ECM gets is to know when the compressor is on, it can't turn it off at WOT

I'll try posting a good readable picture but if it's too hard to read let me know and I can e-mail it.

Thanks, It should be no issue then, Ill just steal the wiring off the 5.0 for the A/C portion... I ditched all that out of the harness back when I cleaned up the wiring in smogie.

Coming from the A/C clutch plug, there is the noted B/Y wire and the solid black wire, but it goes into a heat shrunk part which I assumed was the diode, but coming out the other end it has the above, but also a Grey/White wire.... Im not sure what to do with that?

I don't see any Grey/White wire on any of the near by years be it truck or bronco. Being a heat shrunk area on the wire insead of a solid rubber block with either "Diode" or the electrical symbol of a diode written on it, I'm guessing someone added it in. I'm thinking it mite be the should be black/yellow but is now Grey/White that goes to the EEC. Can you ohm it out to see what it may be connected too? If it is connected to the black/yellow that goes to the clutch, just ignore it or chop it off.

Provision for e-fan trigger? Just a thought

The G/W wire wasn't added, this thing was pristine stock. The odd part about it is I have come across more than one on the chassis side... I am going to leave it unhooked, and figure it out if the A/C doesn't work... It is possibly that was the circuit that went to the EEC on the diagram, and if that's the case, no issue, Ill pull the wire out of the plug.

I don't think so, if anything, it was a reference to the EEC to tell it to idle up when the a/c was engaged or something...
