'99 XL Glass Headlights Swap to '04??

Anyone done this? pointers? Thanks!

Easy job. I had some friends help with mine but it is straight forward. Go to Auto 1 or 1 auto I believe and they have video's on how to. They also sell the lights. Auto Nation should be a good place to. I don't believe Riffraff Diesel sells them or that would be my first choice. Good luck. I bought mine off e-bay and wished I wouldn't of. Have to replace them again.

Mine came from 1aauto. I reccomend putting some glass sealer on a couple days before and allowing it to dry. Will help keep moisture out and from fogging up. Mine have been installed for a year now. A couple of the clips on top are a pain to remove but the rest is not to bad. I also upgraded bulbs at the same time. Pretty sure the ones that come with are only for testing purposes.

What make of sealer? My right headlight is frogged bad. I'm going to change them both again. Anyway they look great on yours.

Thanks,

I used some permatex glass sealer. Local Kroger(Fred Meyer) had some in stock.

I think the OP is talking about doing a sealed beam to plastic aero style housing conversion, not replacing old style aero housings with newer ones.

Thanks Guys!! I was asking about swapping FROM the XL trim GLASS sealed beams TO the clear '04 style PLASTIC headlights......actually asking for someone here local that "MAY" buy my OEM '04s when I swap to the '07 style.

Ya'll will be needin' to change your connectors, too. The sealed beam style to the 9007 style, and for Supercab, the 9007 style to the 9008 type.
dfuser.com has some really nice harnesses that will do that if you don't want to cut off the old connectors and install new ones, and they also have relay harnesses that will assure you are getting all 13.5 volts TO the headlights.

Ok Guys, here is my question one more time:
we've got a 1999 F350 XL trimmed truck with the factory OLD-FASHIONED GLASS sealed beam headlights.
We also have a set of 2004 F350 XLT/LARIAT/KING RANCH PLASTIC aero-style headlights.
We are wondering what it takes to swap the '04s INTO the '99 Thanks!

Straight swap. Watch the video on 1A auto site and it will show you how easy it is.

Can someone post the part number for the lens being used to replace the sealed beams on my 2000 f350, please.
