anybody use REV-X ???

a guy who buys and fixes up 7.3L superduties bought one from me on Saturday and told me I should be using REV-X in my 6.7l because of HPOP.

just wondering who uses it and if you think it helps

It's commonly used in the 6.0s to try to clear up the spool valves in the injectors to fix stiction. It sometimes works great, but since the 6.7L is a common rail I'm not sure what it would do for you.

Not much of anything, it's a 6.0 thing and the 6.4/6.7 folks have nothing worry about when it comes to stiction.

The most they have to worry about is IDID or Internal Diesel Injector Deposits from less than quality fuel an addtive like Power Service Diesel Kleen, Stanadyne Performance Forumla and Injector Cleaner, or Hot Shot Secret Diesel Extreme clean those up well.

I've used Archoil 9100 in my Jeep, it appears to have quieted the valve train significantly at almost 120k (also switched to synth at the same time though). So some of the oil additives used in the 7.3 and 6.0 have cross-over potential, and Rev-X is advertised for normal N/A gas engine use, I just don't think there would be any benefits in a 28k mile motor that's been maintained. Might be worth trying in the Crown Vic though.
