Questions on rearend dimensions

I am beginning work on a '56 F-100 and trying to get some numbers straight so I can round up some parts. The plan is to do a CV IFS swap from a P-71 Police Interceptor and retain the 4.6l V8. The CV automatic trans will be swapped for a cheap T-45 5 speed out of a Mustang. I also want to install an 8.8 rearend complete with disc brakes that should hook right up to the CV master cylinder.

My only worry is finding the right width of 8.8 that will fit between the fenders without some crazy offset for the wheels. I can get a complete 8.8 from an Explorer with disc and a companion flange for the u-joint for $100. I will jump on this immediately if I know that it will fit with tires between the fenders. What do you guys think?

Here is a link that gives all the fitment info you should need.

Looks like it'll work. Thanks for the link. I'm going to jump on the axle.
