Need your help guys. Changed my oil the day, probably put in about just short of 15. gallons of rottella with a quart of Lucas synthetic additve.Dipp stick read just above fill level. Drove the truck for 2 hrs notice oil leak underneath originating from passenger side of valley. Some oil in rear of valley but hoop and lines are dry. Seams to becoming from spider on passenger side. Thanks

The only oil in the spyder is from the ccv. Have you checked the turbo pedestal or ebpv area?

X2^^^^^

And just a word of caution. It is not a good idea to use additives in the oil for our trucks. Lucas is good stuff, but not for our trucks. The injectors run off high pressure oil. The pressure can be up to 3000 psi. Additives like Lucas and others will cause the oil to foam at those pressures and could over time damage the injectors and also make the truck not run at it's full potential. Straight oil with no additives is the best way to go with our trucks.

oil Leak

Nick, thank you for pointing out the possible obvious.lol .Darren what I meant to say for the pedestal not the spyder. The oil seams to be leaching from the passenger side of the pedestal.
Did I make a mistake by adding to much oil with the additve? Would draining a quart or so possibly help or did I do some damage?
Yeah, this my first truck.I appreciate the help guys. You too Nick.

You didn't hurt anything if its overfilled a little. Sounds to me like you have a turbo/pedestal oring leaking. There are 2 sets of orings there. One on top of the pedestal and one set between it and the block. I think its just a coincidence that it happened right after your oil change.
