84 Bronco II Running Project

So I've just purchased my first Ford and I know I will need some advice from the pros on here, but I'll start with something of high importance areas first:

Can't turn off High Beams: I let my wife drive it last night and she managed to turn on the high beams. I tried everything I can think of to turn them off aside from pulling fuses. I even pulled up the carpet to see if there was a floorboard dimmer switch, but there's nothing anywhere. It's getting into dark mornings and early nights here in the Pacific Northwest so I am gonna need some low beams. Any advice?

The switch is activated by pulling the signal arm towards you... if that doesnt work then theres a problem inside the column.

Wow!

Thanks! That was it. I could've sworn I tried moving that, but it's not as smooth as with newer setups. Thanks a million.

It should work smoothly with a click, very little pressure required... if not then it might need to be taken apart for cleaning otherwise the plastic signal arms do break easily.

That switch controls horn, turn signals, and high beam/flash to pass functions on 84 Rangers/Bronco IIs and fails often..........replace it.
