Supply/return lines on frame 1995 7.3 crew cab
 

Truck is a 1995 F350 XLT 7.3 E4OD crew cab .
What size are the fuel lines on the frame?

Most of mine are gone completely. I have 3/8 SS tubing here to make most of the runs. I also have plenty of rubber fuel line for connectors. Is the tubing OK or too big , small?

I see repair tubes for gas but not for diesel. I'm thinking pulling a set from another truck will just be asking for trouble and leaks.

I have a double flaring tool and a Bubble flaring tool. Or should I use a compression fitting to attach a brass or SS ferrule to the tube then cut the nut off and have the ferrule as a rubber hose clamping area.

I have the tubing and brass and SS fittings here already.

Anyone have any thoughts or answers?

3/8 should be fine. I think the stock lines are somewhere in the 3/8 or 5/16 range. All the connections are very low pressure (suction on the supply and more or less no pressure on the return) since the pump is on the motor, so you don't have to worry a ton about the connections. Make sure they're tight, so you don't suck air past them on the supply line since it is suction, but there is little or no concern of blowing them apart so I wouldn't be overly worried about that. Just make sure you have a snug connection and you should be fine.

DIY is correct 3/8 is the supply line and 5/16 is the return line from factory, Inline tube makes a complete set from tank to engine, available in stainless steel. coated steel and aluminum. Its saves alot of time, you pay more but no rubber connections, everything is factory and the fit is awsome.

I'll look into Inline Tube.. Never thought of them . I run them on my Jeep. SS brake lines.
I'm pretty good with a set of benders but if I can get them preformed and correct for a decent price.... That's for me :-jammin.

I want to add the larger tank in the rear also so maybe this will just be one big project weekend, when it happens.
