err... umm... you guys know where I can find my buddy a door for a 2012?

So my co-worker was pulled in to a parking spot about to go in to the place to pay a bill or whatnot...
And some fellow decides to take my buddy's door out of his hand with his vehicle just as my buddy was steppig out.

Anybody know where a replacement can be purchased for a reasonable price?

Dammit man, the dude that took the door off on a "soup only" diet for a few months? That sux... I would try to find one in a junk yard, problem is I haven't seen many late model Fords in junk yards locally, still gonna be some pretty serious coin though....Is the offending person's insurance going to handle the cost of repairs?

Let the person who took the door off for hims insurance find a suitable replacement.

You got that right BigDaddy! I just got smacked in NOLA on Wednsday, thank God it was the Co. truck.... but still.....:-arrgh

Is your buddy also responsible for fixing the other vehicle?

Christof13T 08-23-2014 12:10 PM

Offender that hit him I believe has insurance and is covering the damage. I think my buddy is having a family members shop do the repairs and trying to make a little off the top by saving on parts cost. He is currently looking at spending 1k $ on a replacement alone.

That should buff right out

X2 on the "soup only" diet

Was your buddy parking on the street or in a parking lot?

It was a parking lot.

Thanks for the suggestions to source a new door fellas..
My buddy went ahead and ordered a replacement from the shop's source this weekend before i could even tell him about the options you guys suggested.

From the description, your buddy is lucky that guy didn't come along a second or so later, or it'd be more than a door that was wrecked.

Still, I'll bet that got the adrenaline pumping.
