Planning for the future...

Well there has been some talk about the Christmas party this year-

Some people want it near Wichita- Some near Manhattan- or Emporia and I am guessing there will be a vote for Abilene.

I want to skip all the drama we had last year- We will list some options and vote - most votes win!

Remember as in past years there are people from all over the state that like to attend. (Wichita- Lewarence- Manhattan- Abilene- Nebraska SE Kansas)

Soooo lets get the first thing out of the way---

Where is it going to be this year?

We already have 2 votes for Wichita area that I know of (Clint n Garret)

We will also have to decide on type of food? (Mexican- Pizza-Chinese-BBQ-Burger- Else?) Which will decide the place- (If we have it near Wichita I know of a good BBQ place that can cater.)

I will have to say that Pizza Ranch in Emporia treated us well last year!! :-X03

So what is your vote?

I vote Salina, Abilene

As for food, Pizza, chicken, burgers

FWW, Manhattan now has a Pizza Ranch. I haven't eaten there yet as it has always been too busy for my level of patience for quasi fast food.

How about Hayes House in Council Grove. Good food, off the beaten path so not easy for everyone to get to, and it is somewhat expensive. That should meet our criteria.

I have eaten there a couple times, that is a thought, Keep the ideas coming!!

I vote for Pizza Ranch in Manhattan or La Fiesta in Abilene, good eatins either way!

I was tongue in cheek with Hayes House, but it is a good place to eat. All you can eat buffet on Wednesdays.

I`m down for whatever at this point. It`s been far too long since I`ve seen half of you for more than a few minutes. I haven`t been camping or `Froadin in 2 years, My F150 hasn`t moved in 1 year. We used to get together way more often but it seems life has gotten in the way of a lot of our group fun. I`ll confess to be guilty as charged of being too busy and it bothers me but it is what it is. Pick a location and I`ll do my darndest to make it. Why don`t we meet up at the fancy creek camp ground and roast hotdogs for old times sake? ;)

Flip4ford 08-22-2014 06:55 AM

Man if I had a truck I wouldn't let it sit for a year-- whats wrong?

Might be a little chilly in Dec for hotdogs?

Pizza Hut! Ike's Place here in Abilene has good food, and after Sept, there will be a new Donut Palace just across the lot from them

I appreciate that Jack. Always enjoy being out done on a story.

We could meet at Sharps gas station in Randolf and eat microwave sandwiches and have soft serve for desert.

Like Chad said the Pizza Ranch did us well last year. I don't care where it is as long as we get a good group of us to gether.

husker 08-23-2014 07:29 AM

I agree with Clint, anywhere as long as we get together and it works for most folks.
