How do I remove the front grill cross memeber

Hey guys, doing a top end rebuild and some other things to the motor, 94 F350 OBS CCLB 7.5L 460. I'm from Elk Grove, Sacramento basically.

This truck has now become a hobby/project for me, since we're getting a newer truck for other things. SO I decided to go through it and fix some things I know were bad, gaskets, checking the heads, getting them redone and rebuild, new cam shaft, etc. I got the top end pretty close to apart. I have the distributor, fuel rail, intake, and heads to pull off now.

Doing all of this, I know the oil pan seal needs to come off. SO I've now decided to just yank the whole motor and work on it, much easier obviously, outside of the truck. I've gotten all the radiator, coolers etc, pulled off the front. I'm down to the front frame cross member.

What I see are a few bolts on top, and a few bolts on the front, and I don't see much under it, although it looks like it's probably connected to the front bushings. Is there anything else I'm maybe missing in my visual inspections, more bolts somewhere? I haven't started trying to take it off yet, I need to get the bumper off, but I was curious if there were any hidden bolts before I started.

Thanks guys. I'm going to post a thread on my adventures so far. I have about 200 pictures I've taken of every step. Why? Well because this is the first time I've ever done anything to this type of extent and I wanted to document for my own reference, but when I was researching this stuff, how to's ect. I never really found anything that was a step by step type thing. Now that being said, I'm no mechanic and I'm sure the way I did it was not the way to go, or maybe it was, but it's worked out so far for me. I'm always hoping to help someone else out, who's like me and can't seem to find the answer. if I do find the answer i'm always willing to document it and post it for other peoples reference.

Thanks for any help everyone.

Hello,

Might want to post this in the OBS section of the forum, not that we don't want to help, but in the OBS section you have a better chance of running into someone who has done what you are doing to yours. If anyone in this chapter has done it, or knows how to do it I am sure they will chime in. :)

Jim
