I Did it Again

The rebates on the 2014's looked good so I started looking around. I had a price in mind for my 2011 (only 29K miles) and what I wanted to pay for the 2014. I checked this one out last week and went back in today so that the dealer could appraise my trade. I was surprised that they were willing to give me almost what I expected for my 2011. After the usual back-n-forth on the 2014 price I told them I needed to think it over and I'd get back to them Monday. I thanked them for their time and walked out to my rig. The sales manager caught me and told me they would drop the price to where I wanted it. Done deal. Now I'll spend tomorrow removing the 5th wheel, Firestone airbags, Viair System, Tonneau Cover Mounts and all the other stuff I've installed over the past 2 years so that I can bring the new rig home Monday.
It has all the normal stuff you get with a 2014 F-250 King Ranch FX4 plus: -Spray-in Bed Liner -Rear Heated seats -Engine block heater (can't imagine I'll ever need this, I live in southeast Texas) -Wheel Well Liners Can't wait to get the 5th wheel installed, hookup and try out the larger brakes the '14s have. |
WOW! Congratulations!! Looks good. Only 28K on your 2011 your as bad as I am, well maybe. I only have 13k on my 2012.
|
Congrats on the new beauty!!!

Sweet Ride!

Nice, I like the king ranch.
|
Congratulations
That's a beautiful truck.

I am thinking about doing the same thing. My 2012 has just under 21K miles and I am wondering what incentives are available on the 2014's.
What kind of incentives did they give you? |
Sweet. I just did the same thing, but got a 2015. I had $4500 in rebates plus a $200 fuel card.
And I thought I was bad with 34k miles and it only had that because I drove 6k miles from South Florida to Alaska in it. |
It was $6500 I believe. I view the incentives as a nice "Jumping Off" point in the negotiation. After all, that's money the mothership offers to make these trucks more affordable and is usually already accounted for in the "online price".
Got the 5th Wheel, rails and airbags out...Viair and associated stuff next. |
Congrats on the new truck. She's a beauty for sure.

Thanks all, I can't wait for tomorrow...especially after removing all this stuff today. It took several hours and some bloody knuckles. Looking forward to cooler weather and football season to start putting it all back on.

Love that color combo. Congrats.

Do you have a thread for your airbag install? Its not obvious to me what parts I need to buy the airlift kit with a different brand of air compressor to inflate the bags.
Congrats on the removal of the equipment and the new truck! That's the best color out there :D |

Ah no worries. I was just curious if you needed to do anything custom to make the system work or if you can just buy the bags, a control valve, and the air compressor kit from another manufacturer.
