2013 tailgate on 2012 f250
 

Hi. Recently bought a used 2012 f250 from a dealership. The original tailgate was missing so they bought another one off of Ebay. Ends up the tailgate they put on is a 2013 with back up camera in the emblem. Does anyone know if it's a way to hardwire the backup camera to work with the 2012 truck?

i have seen posts show the wiring print outs and if the plugs aren't the same should be able to adapt

Ok Thanks. We have given up on getting it to work. We didn't have a clue so had several others to look at it. The 2012 has a 5 pin plug and 2013 has a 6 pin plug. We don't have the navigation system. Backup screen is on rear view mirror. Love the truck so really isn't a huge problem. Just thought it would be an easy fix.
