if your looking for a big truck project i stumbled upon one today . in the town of auburn sitting next to the dairy queen on route 4 . it's a big ol' 54 cab over flatbed . dunno if it runs , but it appears to be complete { i'm on one of my mail runs at the time so no chance to stop } and fairly decent . sorry no pics as i no longer have my cell phone since i can't use it at all in a commercial vehicle .....................:) and yes it has the 54 grille intact .

Sure wish I still lived/worked up there. I'd love to have a look at it. I've got too many "projects" right now but would live to build a COE one of these days.

I'm out running errands so thought I'd check this out. Very straight but a good bit of Illinois rust in the doors and probably elsewhere. Interestingly, a guy on another forum has serious need for the rear Budd to Dayton adapters on it. I've already posted pics for him. The fronts on the truck are unusual too. Motor Wheel Corporation locking ring style. I have more pics if anybody is interested. If anybody wants the phone number off the sign do me a pm. Stu
