Need some help please. Bearing Hub unit.

I have just replaced my driver side bearing hub (TIMKEN). Everything went well, until I get to putting the slip washers and lock ring clip back in. It will not go. At best I have room for one washer. The hub is tight and torqued to spec. Any ideas here?

OK, I got it. A little pry on the axle shaft and the split ring fell in.
