Anybody got a 2.3L Whipple on their Lightning or Harley Davidson F-150?
I am wondering if anyone here has the 2.3L Whipple supercharger upgrade on their truck and if I can somehow get measurements as to how much shorter than the stock Eaton setup it is. I have a 2003 F-250 with the 5.4 and the ZF6 and I would love to be able to put a Lightning or Harley motor into the truck. I am aware that the few that have done it before have used a 2-3" body lift to gain the necessary clearance for the stock blower setup to clear the cowl, but I really don't want to install a body lift if I can get around it. Looking at the pictures from this article, it looks like the Whipple unit is considerably shorter than the Eaton unit, but I don't want to start down the path of buying parts without knowing that it will fit.

Post up over at LightningRodder.com and ask the guys to measure theirs.
I sold mine before I ever installed it, so I'm not too much help, sorry. Stewart |
