Extended Cruise

After driving around town the past year in short 3-4 mile rides, I took off on the back roads for a nice long ride. By the time I got back home, I had gone 121 miles! Beautiful day, nice and sunny, didn't want to stop.
Truck ran great, even the wife enjoyed the ride.:-X04

Well done. That's what we live to do.

You should try a 255 mile trip in mid September to Truckfest '14.

Good deal!! Ross and I were talking after my relatively short, but extended, Truckstock drive to Ohio. I think it was about 185 miles one way. When you do a trip like that, you see your truck in a whole new light. It's no longer a fragile little antique ice cream getter, but rather you start looking at it as a truck that can be driven and used. :-drink

That's how I felt about driving Edith to Doc's last year!

If I have the time I'd take my F-2 almost anywhere. I'd stay on back roads and if I have road trouble I have towing insurance. My F-2 has shown itself to be more reliable than my modern daily driver at times.

I have a whopping 120km's on my panel so far,lol but will log another 300km's this coming Tuesday when I can finally get the front end allignment done. I just found out my problem that I was having with my brakes today, so no more pulsating on the brake pedal. I had a bad set of drums, put new ones on today and made my day.
