Drive shaft pinion angle & how it works
This was posted on Facebook and I thought it was very interesting. I knew about pinion angle but never knew the hows and whys:

It might have been posted on FTE before, I don't remember, but it's an oldie but a goodie: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/yYAw79386WI?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I admittedly am not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to how complicated machinery works and I found these to be very informative and really helped me understand the principles of they work. |
Great clips
Thanks Bob |

I had seen the second video before but not the first. It explains a lot. Actually, they both do.

I had also seen the second but not the first. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for posting. I had seen the second before. They are both very informative.
So, is there an easy way to check if you have proper phasing? I'm pretty confident I got mine put together correctly, but if there is a simple test for it, it sure would be helpful. Well I just did a quick search and came across an article by John Niolon DRIVE LINE PHASING There are also quite a few youtube videos on this. Always opportunities to learn. |
This was a very informative presentation. There has been a lot of great stuff for learning lately. Thank you Bob for adding to my education (again).

Great information, funny how we think we know the right way. :-X04

I had to include the second video because I just love the explanation. The first time I saw it, maybe a year or so ago, I showed it to my wife. She has absolutely no desire to know anything about cars and trucks other than how comfortable the seats and environment controls work. She was actually quite interested in how the differential works. I was surprised.

Entertaining and informative! Should be required viewing for any first-time builder. Thanks for the contribution Bob.

The second one brought back memories. That motorcycle show is still in existence, I saw them in 1990 at the Black Hills motor Cycle Classic in Sturgis, SD.
