Toyota Tacoma Hybrid is Possible: 31MPG
 

It looks like Toyota Tacoma Hybrid with 31MPG is possible in 2016. Ford could offer one successfully too. The question is what MPG will it provide? Would 31 MPG move you to consider a hybrid F-150 if it was available in 2016 too?

I'd wait until the aftermarket comes up with a plugin charging kit as they have for Prius.

No way I'm buying the first year of a new model anyway. Rich folks inevitably will so I let them be the beta testers.

It would be nice if they offered a "work truck" heavy inverter option to power tools and equipment. That could eliminate carrying a genset and be a big plus for work trucks.

I think that's a wise approach.
