What is this hose?
 

I have a 2005 Expedition and this hose is leaking at the T. Would it have anything to do with the a/c not working? Does anyone know what the part number is?

Rear heater hose for the heater coes

The compressor won't run if the refrigerant is low. There are plenty of other reasons, like a bad fuse or compressor clutch.

My AC stopped working once on my '04 F150 , I took it in to a trusted mechanic, turns out the bolts had come loose on the clutch , and he just bolted it back on , and 4 years later , works perfect

If you have a test light/power probe check for power at the compressor. If it's not receiving power then check the low pressure switch. You might just have a leak to the point that the compressor won't kick on.
