If you want answers to questions as vague as this you need to provide info, e.g. what year truck, what motor and mount set up, what type of 4 speed, get my drift. Can you weld, bend metal, skill level, etc.... You want help, provide us with the proper tools to help.

If you have an F-1 and are looking for the big cross member that the f-2 and f-3s use to mount the 4 speed spur transmission on, I have one attached to a frame. I intend to only use the rear of the frame and could sell the crossmember to you. Don't know if that is what you are looking for though.

Yeah it is the rear trans mount mounts to the frame my mount the rubber is all rotted out and when I took my motor and trans out the mount fell apart.

Post your location in the upper right hand corner, you do it by going through the control panel you used to sign up for the board. If you have your location posted there might be someone in your general area, or immediate area, that can help with working on your truck and locating parts.

You can also list your truck, year, model in your signature. (see below) This will clarify what truck(s) you have. You can install a signature through the control panel.

His frame is OK, he needs the replaceable mount.

If you are looking for the long rubber piece joblot has them. I just got one a few weeks ago

Unless I'm mistaken, a 4-sp in an F-1 uses the same semi-circular mount as the LD and HD 3-sp's. Only the trannies in F-2 and F-3+ have the deep crossmember.

You are probably correct Ross

I was looking through a couple of web sites over the weekend, one stated that their rubber was only for the F-1 three speed while another didn't differentiate between the two, just sell "all".

Here is a thread with pictures: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post10483970

In it, MTFlat shows a HD 3-sp in an F-1 with the same semi-circular mount as a LD 3-sp. And Havi shows a 4-sp in an F-1 that uses the same. The rear bearing retainer was changed for F-2 and higher to use the "hoop" crossmember with the flat rubber mount.

Look at post 2, the rubber mount is illustrated, as is the parts catalog applications and part number.
