what is the piece called on inside of door?
on the xl interior side of each door panel, this is a solid piece of plastic on the forward side of the armrest about where the respective hand would rest. If it had power windows or mirriors there would be rectangular holes for the switches. I'm trying to find a pair and consider this to be a bezel?

A picture of it might help identifying it.

If I understand your description accurately, it is actually called a cover assembly, and is part of the armrest on the door panel. The link below gives you a diagram and the parts called out per the diagram numbering sequence. The actual diagram is also shown below. The cover plate is #5, and the arm rest is #4. If I have not correctly understand the part you are looking for, perhaps the diagram will show you what you need.
The diagram linked below is for a 2000 Superduty with the 7.3, XL trim level. 2000 FORD F-250 Super Duty Parts - AutoNation Ford White Bear Lake Parts (previously Tousley Ford Parts) #1 Belt w/ strip #2 Door trim panel #3 Mirror cover #4 Armrest #5 Cover assy #6 Reflector #7 Insulator |
