2004 18's finally installed on my 02
Well it's taken over a year of searching. Several OKIE's here on FTE found them before me, but I finally have my set of King Ranch 18's on my 2002 Excursion.
Before: http://www.jessereich.com/OSA/ford/ex_17.JPG After: http://www.jessereich.com/OSA/ford/ex_18.JPG I'll run the life out of the current road tires on the rims this summer and then grab some good A/T's for the Winter. I got the 4 rims, caps and good tires for $600. *I can't get a photo upload screen to work for me so I can't embed the photo, if someone will give me the Tag's, I'll update the post* |
Looks good man! Congrats :D

Looks good, and welcome to the '04 18" wheel club!
Are those King Ranch wheels, I don't see the little ridges inside the pocket holes along the rim, I thought all of the K R and H-D versions had those ridges, do the center caps have the K R logo? Just curious, they look a lot like my Lariat wheels. I paid the same for my 18"s with good tires and caps too. |
Mine were suppose to be off a King Ranch and the center caps had the KR logo but they do not have ridges like the Harley Davidson rims. Not sure what that all means.... ... but they are still sweet.

The one's I got do have the tan accent paint, however they do not have any ridges in the cut outs. They are smooth. I was able to cross reference the Ford Part number: 4c34-1007-GA and confirmed they were the correct 2004 18" King Ranch options.
The caps are king ranch, but the lug nuts didn't fit my 2002 lugs. I had to use a set of lug nuts I had in the garage for them to bolt up. Nevertheless, I'm happy to have them on the truck and the Michelin rubber is in great shape and rides nicely! |
Very cool, thanks for the info! I have seen these rims in a couple of different combinations of colors and with/without the ridges, interesting....
I guess since they were only offered for the one year that Ford was just mounting based on color matching the trim more than anything else. Of coarse the H-D ones were obviously only for the H-D trucks. |
