Its nice you have the space to shoot longer range. Max on my range is 200 yards which kinda sucks. Just finished up my second AR.

Need to get paid to do a trip to Phoenix, which is all flat HWY, to see where the MPG is on that, but I am betting it will be about 15.5 MPG average.

what rear gears are you running? how much lift was needed to fit the 37's?

thanks

Exhaust looks good. Any pictures of the y pipe you have?

I went with the SPD y pipe and MBRP 4" Catback on mine. Best mileage was around 13.5mpg with a bed full of camping gear and Seadoo in tow. Besides the headers I think the tuner and gears may help the most with those large 37" tires.

Sure wish I'da seen this thread sometime LAST WEEK ~ I had the small-tube junk someone had pieced-in hacked-off and a 3" Flowmaster installed that dumps just-forward of the Right Rear Tire ~ looks pretty-much just like that Pic a few-frames back (here) and actually sounds great up to about 2200 rpm...

Then it starts sounding more like an Indy Car ~ THAT BARKS : ?

It's missing the Cat - which isn't any real issue where I'm at, but I'll be replacing It for sure now...especially since having read this now.

I don't like the looks of all that hot-metal "U-Turn" made of the exhaust there just below the Oil Pan ~ what's up with replacing It with a 2 into 1 "Y-Pipe" : ?

You truck guys must have some weird exhaust. My 07 E350 has a nice big, smooth-bend Y-pipe with no U turns... From the factory.

^ The y pipes on modular motors got better from 05 on. Check out 5star tunings website for pictures of the originals.

darkjedi351,

I have the factory 4.30 gears.

The lift up front is a level kit, which is about 2 in. on a gas truck, with a 1 in. front spring, rear shackle lift and a 1 in. block under the front springs. It is a minimum of 4 in., but possibly 4.5 in.

The 37s rub a little on the back of the front fender well, but not bad. In my opinion, less lift is better, keeping the center of gravity of the truck lower.

The rear is lifted 3 in., but I think it needs another inch.
