Boring chip with edge juice w/ attitude question

So I made the mistake about a year ago of buying an Edge juice w/attitude. Love the gauge screen and ability to change modes on the fly, but the performance, as most will agree, is subpar. It throws codes in level 3 and above (soft codes that clear shortly after, but still annoying), and even in level one "economy" I don't get as good of fuel mileage as I did with my Superchips plug in chip. I really was pleased with the performance from that chip, and felt much better than any setting on the juice.

So all I want to know, is can I plug the superchips (I don't know the model off hand, but the chip itselft is gold if that helps...) back into the ECM and put the edge at the stock level? My only hesitation is because the edge company makes such a big deal about stacking performance tuners/foolers. But it doesn't really seem like stacking to me since the edge will be in the stock position and in theory wouldn't be doing anything to the stock settings (just there for gauge purposes at that point).

I did a search, but couldn't find any that pertained to this exact setup. Thanks for your help!

I was going to use my Edge for gauges as well when considering DP's F6. It will work as you describe. I ended up not doing it because I wanted dedicated gauges parameters the edge did not monitor, like trans temp and fuel pressure. Also, reselling the edge/attitude gave me enough cash to take the sting out of buying a good set of gauges.

So it sounds like it should be fine? Anyone else want to chime in and confirm, especially those who have done it. I trust your take on it, but since we could be talking about damage to the motor I just want to clarify.

Thanks!

That's fair. Here's a link on another board - a guy is doing what you are proposing. Works for him.
