no voltage at injectors
 

i got a 1985 efi 302 2 months ago it was running good i took the intake of to change the valve covers and noticed there was a injector that mice had chewed threw the wire so i spliced it up put it all back together started it up and it only ran for about 15 seconds. there is fuel in the rail but no voltage going to the injectors. any help would be much appreciated.

The injectors are supplied with power over a Red wire from the EEC Power relays NO contact.
The EEC Power relay is operated by the Ignition switch. The switch sends power to the relays coil and the wire on the other side of the coil is grounded. The relay has a brown base.

The Power for the injectors comes from a fuse link powered at the starter solenoid battery side and runs over a yellow wire to the common contact on the EEC Power relay.

sorry but they do actually have power there just not grounding at all but i do get 12v when testing the one wire to anything metal.

Do you have spark?
Do the fuel pumps run all the time the key is on?

yup if i spay it runs and fuel pump is working cause i loosend the regulator and it was coming out plus i can hear it and i get 12v on injector lead it just never grounds to complete the circuit

i dont think so if its the one i can hear it just runs for a few seconds. also i went back out and tested one wire at a time and both wires of each connector give me a reading of 12v+ when grounded to the intake

You say you took the intake off. If the throttle is wide open the injectors will not fire.
You have spark so I will guess that the PIP train is getting to the EEC computer.
You may have open wire(s) (chewed threw) going to the injectors from the EEC computer or a bad EEC computer.
