Intermittent Smoke Issue

Good Morning Fellow FT brothers.

Well looking for some testing ideas on trouble shooting a smoke issue.

Okay, so here is what happens, When I start up the truck in the morning everything is good. Starts right up, no smoking issues and runs great as far as the ear can tell. I'll let the truck warm up for five or ten minutes and then drive off and again no apart issue.

Now the issue,

Doesn't matter if I have driven the truck for an hour or twenty minutes but after shutting off the truck for thirty minutes or an hour, it doesn't matter, when I restart the truck it starts smoking. It's hard to tell if it is white or bluish color smoke. It is enough of a hazy that it makes a cloud in the area when the truck is sitting still. When I go to drive, the smoke blows worse. If I tap the peddle the smoke bellows a puff of smoke. When I give it peddle it gets worse. The smoke blows for the next five to ten minutes of driving and then clears up. I'm not losing any coolant either.

I have AE so I can run any test and post the results also.
I'm not losing any coolant and I don't have any oil in the coolant.
I have not run a compression test at this point.
Truck has about 700 miles on it since I did the following:
New injector O-rings
Rebuilt the turbo
Brand New (OEM) ICP sensor (But, I just found out it is leaking a little oil in the connector) Will replace soon.

Any ideas is appreciated,
Thanks

I guess everyone is as stumped as I am?

I've had 2 bad injectors that have done sonething similar to this. Run AE and do a cylinder contribution test and a buzz test. You may get some answers there. When mine did this the first time there was so much smoke I couldn't see the truck. I started parking the truck out in the woods so the neighbors wouldn't see it and call the FD. It would clear up after 10-15 minutes but then randomly puff white when I was accelerating. The CCT showed up both times and they also buzzed different than the other 6. Just don't get fooled into thinking #8 is a problem because it always has different readings than the rest.

Any oil consumption?

What did the CCT show?

Set AE up to record the following:
  • Fuel Injector PW
  • Injection Control Pressure
  • Injection Ctrl Pressue DC
  • Exhaust Back Pressure
  • Manifold Absolute Pressure
  • Mass Fuel Desired
  • Engine Oil Temp
  • Engine RPM
  • Vehicle Speed

Record as a .csv file and report back.
