Brakes

I have a 1999 F-150. This sounds funny but my brake pedal goes to the floor if you push hard enough but I have good stopping power. I have installed a new master cylinder ( bench bleed it), replaced rear brakes. Made sure the rear calipers pins are free. Checked front calipers and the pins are free also. Bleed the system 3 times. The unit stops good but the pedal goes a long way. You can pump the brakes forever and the pedal never gets solid. I thought the first master cyl. was bad so I put another new one on and it is like the first. No brake or abs light on the dash comes on. Any clues as to what is wrong?

Did you bleed the system after you installed the new master cylinder or just bench bleed? Might still have some air trapped in it.

I have bleed the complete system 3 times. The one part that is reused in the system is the fitting that screws back into the master cyl. It could be a bad part or not. It looks like a plastic coil inside and who knows what else.
