Cold start worse after Rev-X!!!!
Well this problem persist! Cold starts have been an issue all winter, Friday night I changed the oil (and filter) and added Rev-X. I'm using Shell Rotella T6 5W 40 Full synthetic like I've used since I've had the truck (Never an issue before). I also changed the Fuel filters as well. My cold start issue is significantly worse (See video below). Throughout the winter I have changed glow plugs, GPCM, one glow plug harness, ICP sensor, cleaned the EGR, and checked the FICM voltage. I don't even know what to do with it now beside take it to Ford and pay the $150 to diagnose. Should I give the Rev-X more time to work? I'm getting codes for cylinders one at a time) balance/contribution. I'll get one, shut the engine off, then back on and get a different one. No other codes though. The problem started right after I changed the oil for the winter and has continued. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yours being an '03, I'd check and make sure your harness isn't chaffing anywhere.
If I lived closer to you I'd come over and hook up the AE, but that is a seriously rough idle. What happens if you try to drive the truck? |

X2 with what mustang said. If its bouncing around like like that I would check your ficm or send it to ed and have him check it for you, check and make sure the plugs are plugged in all the way or chaffing on the ficm wiring harness. Oh and load test each battery

Sounds/looks more like a leaking injector to me. Are all the codes on the same cylinder bank? Have you done a bubble test?
|
Do you monitor the fuel pressure?
If injectors are at 235k miles (approx) like the truck, then it is probably just time for them to start having problems. If not, then you may have issues w/ proper fuel pressure - especially when running your tuner. |
Different sides but now constantly 0275. Getting hot start issues now as well. Would a high pressure oil leak cause all of my symptoms?

Pull the secondary fuel filter lid and do a bubble test. Takes less than 5 minutes. |
Just did the bubble test. No bubbles but the fuel bowl overflowed! Is that normal?

Ok, I'll try that!
|
Still no bubbles, tried starting it up and it died again. I'm posting a vid, should be up soon.

One thing that caught my attention, was the oil filter cap,is that an oem?I once saw a 6.0 that done about the same thing, but it wouldn't run as long as yours.
Come to find out it was the cap and filter. |
At 59 degrees I don't think its stiction
At 59 degrees, I would not be looking at Stiction as the problem.
